Schedules that work while you sleep

Cron for AI agents.

Give any agent a schedule — every 5 minutes, every Monday at 8am, month-end close. Standard cron syntax, timezone control, and a run history you can audit.

Cron for AI Agents — platform illustration

The problem

Every other tool in your stack runs 24/7. AI work doesn’t — so someone sets calendar reminders to paste prompts into a chat window, and the nightly report ships whenever someone remembers.

How it works with agents

  • Standard cron expressions with per-agent timezones
  • Overlapping-run controls — no pile-ups when a job runs long
  • Run history per schedule — every fire, timestamped and logged
  • Pause, edit, or backfill a schedule without touching the agent

What's included

  • 24/7 scheduling built into every agent
  • Timezone-aware scheduling
  • Concurrency and overlap protection
  • Per-schedule run history and alerts
  • Webhook and event triggers alongside 24/7 runs
EXAMPLES

If you’ve written cron, you already know it.

*/15 * * * *

Every 15 minutes

Inbox sweeps, queue checks, and near-real-time monitoring — cheap runs, high frequency.

0 7 * * 1-5

Weekdays at 7am

Morning digests waiting before the team logs in — timezone set to yours, not the server’s.

0 18 * * 5

Fridays at 6pm

Weekly reports compiled and delivered at close — with the run logged the moment it finishes.

0 0 1 * *

The 1st of each month

Month-end reconciliation and close tasks that used to live on someone’s calendar.

SCHEDULING CONTROLS

Unsupervised runs that behave in production.

Overlap protection

Choose skip, queue, or cancel when a run outlasts its interval — no pile-ups of duplicate executions.

Timezone control

Schedules fire in your team’s timezone, with DST handled for you.

Pause & resume

Freeze a schedule without touching the agent — useful during freezes, migrations, and incidents.

Run history

Every fire, timestamped: what triggered it, how long it took, what it cost, and whether it passed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it real cron?
Yes — standard five-field cron expressions, so anything you’ve scheduled before works as-is, with timezone control and visual helpers if you’d rather not write the expression yourself.
What if a run takes longer than the interval?
Overrun protection is built in: choose to skip the next fire, queue it, or cancel the slow run — no duplicate executions stacking up.
Can an agent be triggered by events too?
Running 24/7 is the default, but every agent can also accept webhooks and platform events — schedule the routine work, trigger the reactive work.
